The State of Florida DUI Checkpoint Enforcement Trailer represents a joint effort between the Florida Department of Transportation's Safety Office and the Institute of Police Technology and Management. The trailer is used by smaller agencies who wish to step up their DUI enforcement through checkpoint operation.
The 16-foot trailer is an air conditioned and heated facility which is both well-lit and ventilated. It is equipped with two light towers, traffic cones, barricades, generators, signs and traffic control vests. Once set up on-site, the trailer can be used as a work station by any Florida officers engaged in enforcing DUI laws.
For information about using the DUI Trailer, please contact Ed Elster at 904-620-4786.
